Items:
1. Winter Forum, 2002.
Due to a scheduling conflict, the date of the Winter Forum was switched from Thursday 1/24/02 to Wednesday 1/23/02. Wayne has made preliminary arrangements for use of a conference room at Brigham and Women’s, and it was agreed that the radiology conference room there would probably be adequate if the anesthesiology conference room was not available. Wayne has also confirmed Search One to attend, and it was suggested that they attempt to provide statistics on job placement with and without fellowship training. Other speakers were discussed, and invitations will be extended by each of the members in attendance. Catering and publicity plans were reviewed; direct emails to members on the distribution list and to program directors will be sent. It was also suggested to mail flyers to program secretaries for distribution, and to have flyers at the NERRS registration desk at the January meeting.

2. MRS Executive Committee Meeting Review.
Erik reviewed the topics discussed at the November Executive Committee meeting, and provided a copy of the budget summary. Particular note was made of the move to abandon the MRS website in favor of a list server, which should not affect the RFS home page except to necessitate a new host. The issue of “supertechs” and their potential impact upon residency training was also discussed.

3. Questionnaire for residents and program directors.
Wayne has developed a questionnaire to help ensure that MRSRFS is adequately addressing the interests and expectations of its constituency. A copy of this questionnaire, along with a cover letter from Mark and a PDF version of the application form, will be emailed to the state’s residency program directors. Dr. Gordon agreed to contact the program directors via telephone to alert them to the questionnaire, and to encourage them to appoint two representatives from each program to the RFS.

4. MRS-RFS meeting sites, future dates.
No formal MRSRFS meeting will be held before the Winter Forum on 1/23/01 at BWH. The possibility of moving the next regular meeting to a local restaurant was again discussed.
